Do I need an appointment for emergency care?

No appointment is necessary, and we welcome walk-ins 24/7. 

Emergencies can happen at any time, and we're here to help. If you believe your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please bring them in immediately. Our team is ready to provide the care your pet needs. 

What is a medical emergency?

A medical emergency is any condition that requires immediate attention due to its urgency or potential to be life-threatening. Some common signs of a medical emergency include: 

  • Trauma, such as being hit by a vehicle or attacked by another animal 
  • Ingesting toxic foods or substances 
  • Increased breathing rate or difficulty breathing 
  • Vomiting or diarrhea in puppies or kittens 
  • Repeated vomiting or multiple episodes of diarrhea in adult dogs 
  • Persistent retching 
  • Blood in urine or difficulty urinating 
  • Red, swollen, or painful eyes 
  • Swollen or distended abdomen

What should I do if my pet eats something toxic?

Call us and bring your pet in immediately. If possible, bring the packaging or a sample of the substance they ingested.

You can also contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) Hotline at (888) 426-4435 for additional guidance. A consultation fee may apply.
