About Emergency Veterinary Care Centers

How It All Started

We’re Not Your Average Emergency Veterinary Group

At Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC), your pets are at the heart of everything we do. Since our founding in 2003 by a group of 36 local veterinarians, we’ve been dedicated to one mission—providing compassionate, accessible emergency care to pets in the communities that need it most. What began as a collaboration to meet a critical need has grown into a promise to our communities. We approach our mission differently—thinking beyond the typical model of emergency veterinary care and focusing on what truly matters to the pets, families, and practices we serve.

Even now, after more than two decades, 25 of those founding veterinarians are still involved in our mission.  Their vision was never about profits—it was, and always will be, about creating a legacy of care, trust, and integrity. Supported by a family that places community above all else, we are proud to stay independent, answering only to the pets and people we serve. This freedom means less restrictions. We can quickly adapt to new challenges and innovations ensuring your pet receives the best possible care. It’s this independence and flexibility that sets EVCC apart.

When you walk through our doors, you’ll find a team of veterinary professionals who live and breathe this work. We understand that a pet isn’t just a pet—they are part of your family.  That’s why we focus on growing with purpose, ensuring that our care continues to meet the high standards you deserve.

When you choose EVCC, you’re choosing a team dedicated to earning your trust through compassionate, high-quality care. You’re choosing a group that’s truly different, with no other agenda than to provide the best possible care for your pet.
