No, appointments are not required. We understand that emergencies tend to happen unexpectedly, so if you believe your pet is in a medical emergency, please bring them in immediately.
A medical emergency is any situation that could be life-threatening or requires urgent care. Common emergencies we treat include, but are not limited to:
- Trauma, such as being hit by a vehicle or attacked by another animal
- Ingesting toxic foods or substances
- Increased breathing rate or difficulty breathing
- Vomiting or diarrhea in puppies or kittens
- Repeated vomiting or multiple episodes of diarrhea in adult dogs
- Persistent retching
- Blood in urine or difficulty urinating
- Red, swollen, or painful eyes
- Swollen or distended abdomen
