No. We understand that emergencies are unpredictable, which is why we do not require appointments. If you suspect your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please bring them in immediately.
Some common and potentially life-threatening emergencies we frequently treat include, but are not limited to:
- Trauma, such as being hit by a vehicle or attacked by another animal
- Ingesting toxic foods or substances
- Increased breathing rate or difficulty breathing
- Vomiting or diarrhea in puppies or kittens
- Repeated vomiting or multiple episodes of diarrhea in adult dogs
- Persistent retching
- Blood in urine or difficulty urinating
- Red, swollen, or painful eyes
- Swollen or distended abdomen

Call us and bring your pet in for immediate evaluation. If possible, bring the packaging or a sample of what they ingested.
