Weekend Emergency Veterinary Support You Can Rely On

Whether you’re exploring the nearby Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge with your dog or lounging at home with your catpet emergencies can happen without warning; and when they do, every moment counts. Just a short drive away, Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) – Saginaw provides urgent and critical care for dogs and cats throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region, available Fridays at 7 PM through Mondays at 8:30 AM.*

*While our facility closes at 8:30 AM on Mondays, the last patient will be seen at 7 AM to allow adequate time for treatment. We kindly ask that you plan your visit accordingly to ensure your pet receives the care they need. Thank you for understanding.

From the moment you walk through our doors, our emergency team is here to help. We focus on streamlined triage, transparent communication, and compassionate care at every stage of your visit. Our team will guide you through check-in, answer your questions, and provide ongoing updates so you always know what’s happening with your pet.

As an emergency-only veterinary hospital, we are dedicated exclusively to urgent and life-threatening cases. We do not offer routine wellness services; instead, we focus entirely on prompt, skilled emergency treatment when pets need it most.

Now serving Bridgeport, EVCC Saginaw is the sixth location in the EVCC network and the third in Michigan. Since 2003, EVCC has remained independently owned, delivering trusted emergency veterinary care across the Midwest. Our #1 priority is working toward 24/7/365 availability by expanding our medical team and strengthening partnerships throughout the communities we serve, including:

Emergency and Critical Care Services We Offer

Broken bones, wounds, and/or bites

Breathing difficulties, drowning or choking

Seizures

Collapse

Toxin ingestion or poisoning

Severe vomiting, diarrhea, or bloating

Heatstroke

Hypothermia

Birthing difficulties (dystocia)

Eye trauma or sudden blindness

‘Get in Line’ From Home

To help minimize stress, you can secure your place in line before you leave home. Don’t worry, we’ll notify you via text when it’s your turn to come in.

A few things to keep in mind...

  • This is not an appointment. Your pet’s estimated visit time is just that—an estimate. Visit times can change based on caseload and the urgency of other patients' needs.
  • To keep things simple and stress-free, we’ll send you text updates to let you know when to come in. If there’s a change in your estimated visit time, we’ll notify you right away.
  • If your pet is experiencing a crisis or needs immediate care, please don’t wait. Call us or come in right away!
  • When you arrive, we’ll assess your pet’s condition. If their situation is critical, they’ll be seen immediately. If they’re stable, your reserved place in line will be held.

Understanding ER Wait Times

Upon arrival, our team will promptly evaluate your pet’s condition. Pets in critical condition are treated immediately, while those who are stable may need to wait as more urgent cases are prioritized.*

We know waiting can be stressful, so we’ll keep you informed and updated throughout your visit.

*If your pet’s condition changes during your visit, please notify us immediately so we can reassess their triage level.
