Do I need an appointment for emergency care?

No. We know that emergencies can happen anytime, which is why we welcome walk-ins 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you think your pet is having a medical emergency, bring them in right away. 

What is considered a medical emergency?

A medical emergency is any condition that is life-threatening or requires urgent care. Some of the most common emergencies we treat include: 

  • Trauma, such as being hit by a vehicle or attacked by another animal 
  • Ingesting toxic foods or substances 
  • Increased breathing rate or difficulty breathing 
  • Vomiting or diarrhea in puppies or kittens 
  • Repeated vomiting or multiple episodes of diarrhea in adult dogs 
  • Persistent retching 
  • Blood in urine or difficulty urinating 
  • Red, swollen, or painful eyes 
  • Swollen or distended abdomen
