Do I need an appointment for emergency care?

No appointment is necessary. We understand that emergencies are unpredictable, so if you believe your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please bring them in right away.

What is a medical emergency?

A medical emergency is any condition that may be life-threatening or requires urgent veterinary attention. Common emergencies we treat include, but are not limited to:

  • Trauma, such as being hit by a vehicle or attacked by another animal 
  • Ingesting toxic foods or substances 
  • Increased breathing rate or difficulty breathing 
  • Vomiting or diarrhea in puppies or kittens 
  • Repeated vomiting or multiple episodes of diarrhea in adult dogs 
  • Persistent retching 
  • Blood in urine or difficulty urinating 
  • Red, swollen, or painful eyes 
  • Swollen or distended abdomen

What should I do if my pet eats something toxic?

Call us and bring your pet in immediately. If possible, bring along the packaging or a sample of what was ingested.
